12-Month Contract - Java Backend Developer (Through an External Agency Payroll Provider)

Tasks

• Design and further development of cloud-based distributed systems; implementation of scalability, security, compliance, and fault tolerance
• Implementing distributed system principles for a growing internal mid-to-senior-level team, expanding options for buyers, and identifying patterns in our shared functional methods
• Developing and maintaining API gateways/services for a growing internal mid- to senior-level team, expanding options for buyers, and identifying patterns in our shared functional approaches
• Optimizing the performance of our cloud-edge and microservices, ensuring availability and reliability
• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks/microservices in distributed systems; identifying and formulating strategies for system stability and fast response times as customer needs change
• Contribute to the expansion of the platform through digital services, provide scalable tools, and offer support in designing and managing the platform infrastructure and migrating the data infrastructure based on the bank's strategic requirements
• Strong focus on monitoring and automation from the ground up (via JMX, the OCI/OCP toolchain, and AWK), as well as cloud monitoring strategies for mid-level experience
• Development of SSM and Git Flow/Prioritiser, ideas, and implementation and configuration of cloud scaling for their clients' inductors, including scaling zones, instances, and CI/CDs
• Application of the Force/Backup/Recovery Engine (using sustainability and sustained, controlled thinking)
• Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, designers, and other marketplaces to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions and deliverables
