12-Month Contract - Business Analyst - Structured Product (Through an External Agency Payroll Provider)

Job Description

• 12-month contract – Business Analyst – Structured Product (through an external staffing agency)
• Full-time
• The position begins as an 8-month interim assignment and may be extended on a permanent basis.
• Hybrid work model: A combination of onshore (Switzerland, London office) and offshore (Mauritius) time zones to coordinate with the onshore and offshore teams.
• Several systems are involved, including Salesforce, internal Excel files, and internal tools.
• Hybrid role: 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.
• Work schedule: 2x4 with weekends (Monday & Tuesday and Thursday & Friday).

Tasks and responsibilities

• Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
  • Identification of operational requirements for business workflows, applications, and operational transactions.
  • Creation of effective requirements documents and validation by project and/or system.
  • Presentation of well-researched project structures to the relevant onshore and offshore stakeholders.
  • Manage IT, pre-production, business, QA, UAT, and business acceptance to ensure that a complete understanding is clearly documented and delivered.
  • Aligning requirements and results with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Presenting requirements within a time frame appropriate for the audience, whether in a meeting or in person—either face-to-face or virtually via audio or video presentation.
• Data & Reports Implementation/Enhancement
  • Conduct a detailed and accurate requirements analysis of various operational, platform, and internal software components, business workflows, and transaction processing.
  • Designing and overseeing the system architecture, preparing and defining data requirements, and conducting tests.
  • Provision of end-to-end project scope and requirements planning.
  • Planning and developing automated data or transaction tasks as needed.
  • Analysis and creation of data reports and dashboards based on business needs.
  • Creating or refining existing digital deliverables, such as reports and dashboards, and implementing them operationally.
• Stakeholder Relationship Management
  • Establishing relationships with the senior agency and stakeholders, defining business requirements, and documenting them.
  • Presentation of robust plans and requirements documents to the relevant projects, operations, and risk management teams to ensure structured products, capital adequacy, and regulatory reporting.
• Proactive management of financial operations using a self-directed approach to developing new workflows, process improvements, and product launch processes.
• Analysis of financial data and complex trading structures, as well as their relationship to the markets.
• Prioritizing and improving data security protocols and data governance.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of product design and the entire life cycle of financial products.
• Practical knowledge of pricing, documentation, structuring, and risk management for structured products.
• In-depth knowledge of the legal and financial concepts underlying structured products.
• Ability to discuss complex financial products and their implications at a high level with internal and external stakeholders.
