12-Month Contract - Back-End Developer (Through an External Agency Payroll Provider)

Note: This is a 12-month contract position with an external agency that provides payroll services.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Active participation in the planning processes for the program structure (S); SAP maintenance
• Proactive participation in all daily, intervention, and risk planning and reporting processes
• Collaborate with user story and resource teams to define, analyze, and develop high-quality software solutions for our financial products and services
• Working with Julius Baer Operating’s product lines and business units: asset performance and return trends, as well as client suitability
• Testing and ongoing review of third-party financial products and offerings; review of the product workflow and documentation
• Write clear, action-oriented, and effective user stories in accordance with industry best practices. Includes code reviews, tech talks, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
• Manage the technical interface across the entire stack to ensure support for both the development and production environments
• Support for stakeholder management and end-to-end release planning
• Proactive development and prioritization management of the roadmap to define the backlog

System and Quality Management

• Systematization of appropriate controls and techniques, including but not limited to security and data protection standards, as well as the use of high-quality code to prepare for changes (APIs), the administration of parameter management solutions, continuous improvement, the adoption of new technologies, and the ongoing updating of laws and regulations
• Development of a common set of templates and best-practice guidelines
• Gain an understanding of management, operations, and compliance
• Strong technical review skills and a high degree of initiative when it comes to quality
• Experience in the financial industry is preferred
