12-Month Contract - Java Backend Developer (Through an External Agency Payroll Provider)

Tasks

• Design & Development: Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions for our financial products and services.
• Development and maintenance of backend services and APIs using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot. Optimizing service and performance, and ensuring code quality and maintainability.
• System Integration: Working on the integration of various financial systems and third-party services to ensure a seamless flow of data and interoperability.
• Code Quality and Efficiency: Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code in accordance with industry best practices, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnosing and resolving technical issues across the entire stack; providing support for development and production environments.
• Collaboration: Collaborating with Product, Design, Management, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and deliverables.
• Regulatory Requirements: LCET HSM Management.

Requirements

• A strong educational and professional background, ideally with at least 4 years of extensive experience in software development, including in technical development or engineering roles.
• Knowledge of Core Java and related libraries/frameworks (e.g., JDK, Maven).
• Spring frameworks (including Spring Boot, JPA, Spring Web, Spring Data, and JUnit).
• Excellent knowledge of system architecture.
• Basic understanding of Java threading systems and best practices.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL languages and strong communication skills.
• Strong database skills and knowledge of JSON and/or XML data structures.
• Very quick to grasp concepts.
• Ability to work independently on data manipulation for projects.
• Ability to work in an agile environment.
• Willingness to work as part of a global team based in Singapore and Switzerland.
• Relevant work experience in the financial industry is a plus.
