Abacus Finance and Power BI Specialist (m/f/d)

LGT is seeking an Abacus Finance and Power BI Specialist (m/f/d) to join its team, with experience in data analysis, process optimization, and collaboration with stakeholders. The ideal candidate has at least 3–5 years of professional experience working with financial data and proven experience with Abacus and Power BI.

Your area of responsibility

We are looking for a promising and analytical individual to join our team as an Abacus Finance and Power BI Specialist (m/f/d). In this key role, the focus is on
  • Data analysis and insights: Performing detailed financial data analyses, identifying trends and anomalies, and deriving meaningful recommendations for action to support decision-making processes.
  • Process optimization: Proactively identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement in the areas of data management, reporting processes, and system functionalities related to Abacus and Power BI.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders: Work closely with finance, risk, IT, and other relevant departments to understand reporting requirements and provide efficient solutions.
  • Documentation: Creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation on Abacus configurations, Power BI reports, data models, and reporting processes.
  • User support and training: Support and training for end users in the use of Abacus and Power BI functionalities.

Your profile

  • At least 3–5 years of professional experience working with financial data; reporting and analysis in the financial services industry.
  • Verifiable practical experience with Abacus is mandatory.
  • Extensive experience in developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, including data governance (DGAZ), reporting/controlling, and the application of best practices in data visualization.
  • Experience in using SQL for data extraction and processing.

Technical skills

  • Proven expertise in the use of Abacus reporting software.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Power BI (Power Query, DAX, data modeling).
  • Thorough understanding of relational databases and SQL.
  • Familiarity with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • A proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented approach to work, with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Fluency in English; excellent German skills are a major advantage.
