Account Manager, Employee Banking, 100% (fixed-term contract, start date February 1, 2027; 8 months of maternity leave coverage)

Julius Bär is seeking an Account Manager for Employee Banking in Zurich to serve as a temporary replacement for eight months starting in February 2027. The position involves independently managing client relationships, portfolio management, and business development activities for bank employees.

YOUR DAYLIFE WORK

  • Provide customer service in day-to-day operations and manage all aspects of a client's account independently, while working closely with and under the direct supervision of a Relationship Manager
  • Provide sound advice on assets and investment strategies and deliver effective client service regarding cash, trades, transactions, deposits, loans, etc.
  • Handle account management for new clients as well as account changes (e.g., editing client information, account transfers, and high-priority client administration) related to client onboarding, managing the financial portfolio to a high standard, and ensuring that documentation for new clients—including client identification, record identification, and file maintenance—is maintained to the highest standards,file maintenance, ensuring the bank operates in compliance with all relevant client identification, record identification, and file maintenance requirements, processes, instructions, and controls, with high-quality process assurance and problem resolution, and bearing direct responsibility
  • Interacts with clients worldwide in an independent and professional manner in all aspects of account management
  • Enables efficient and timely investment decisions for stock markets, bond market operations, cash management operations, derivatives sales operations, etc.
  • Proactively addresses the needs related to product onboarding and all market factors, models, applications, processes, documents, etc., ensuring high quality, system, and process assurance, and taking direct responsibility for resolving issues

Business Development

  • Manage the internal departments responsible for account relationships directly, using information from both new client acquisition systems and existing client management systems, as well as relevant documents, processes, and tools, while ensuring high quality, system, and process standards, and taking direct responsibility

YOUR PROFILE

  • At least 5 years of experience as an Account Manager III (AM) or 3 years of experience as an Account Manager II (AM) with a high school diploma
  • Experience as an Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) or Account Manager (AM)
  • Excellent German (C1); German is the native language; technical knowledge/programming at C2 level or higher
  • Fluency in English (B1 or higher) or excellent IT skills, proficiency, and problem-solving abilities, strong organizational skills, and high-quality processes and techniques (e.g., presentations, documents, etc.)
  • Experience in private banking and commercial banking, with strong process management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
