Account Manager, Intermediaries, Geneva, Full-Time (f/m/d)

The Account Manager for Intermediaries at Julius Baer in Geneva is responsible for day-to-day client support, order processing, and assisting relationship managers. The position requires in-depth knowledge of financial markets as well as fluency in English and French.

Tasks

  • Takes responsibility for account administration, documentation, and tasks related to day-to-day operations as well as projects involving account administration.
  • Ensures that day-to-day customer account management is carried out and interacts independently with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides customers with relevant information and assists the Relationship Manager (RM) in developing customized solutions.
  • Serves as a role model for the highest quality of service and supports the Group (GHS) in a prompt, professional, and friendly manner, thereby helping the team optimize and expand its current customer base.
  • Channels customer feedback to the relevant individuals and departments within the bank to facilitate continuous improvement and rapid adaptation of processes.
  • Demonstrates a professional commitment and ensures excellent account management for both clients and the bank, and is willing to go the extra mile.
  • Supports the RMs and the team in all aspects of customer interactions.
  • Answers incoming calls and takes immediate action.
  • Maintain and update records of customer instructions, details, and preferences.
  • Generates system-based reports for the RMs.
  • Provides customers with verbal and/or written information and data, but does not offer advice or make value judgments.
  • Handles and processes customer inquiries by processing orders, trades, transactions, and deposits/withdrawals (excluding those made through electronic channels).
  • Manages internal projects related to account administration, resolves administrative issues directly with the RMs, and ensures that all relevant systems are maintained and all necessary documentation is collected.
  • Share relevant information, deals, submissions, and research with colleagues to streamline processes and improve productivity and quality.
  • Conducts reviews, plans ahead, and documents his own work at all times.
  • Provides professional suggestions for improvement based on experience and observations of incidents.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in serving bank clients with complex needs (onboarding new clients as well as maintaining and expanding existing relationships).
  • Advanced knowledge of global financial markets and current industry trends.
  • Excellent knowledge of French and English (spoken and written). Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
