Account Manager - Intermediaries

The Account Manager - Intermediaries is responsible for managing client accounts, reviewing due diligence procedures and ensuring compliance with rules and regulations. The employee supports Relationship Managers in managing client relationships and performs administrative tasks.

Job description: Account Manager - Intermediaries

Tasks

  • Client Administration & Management:
    • Ensure that accurate and high quality documentation formalities for client relationships are met and maintained
    • Professional execution of operational account management tasks
    • Active maintenance of customer master data in cooperation with the Relationship Manager
    • Independent and professional interaction with clients in all aspects of account management
    • Proactively support the Relationship Manager in managing client relationships and related tasks
    • Ensuring operational coverage and customer interaction within the team during absences
    • Creation and provision of customized information, reports and statistics for customers
  • Business Management:
    • Organization and follow-up of customer meetings, including logistics and document preparation
    • Supporting the Relationship Manager with investigations and troubleshooting
    • Managing internal projects that impact a relationship manager's client relationships
    • Creation of professional proposals for improvements based on experience, incidents or observations
  • Risk management:
    • First line of defense against risk by raising concerns, independently tracking issues and escalating when in doubt
    • Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviors, including standards of honesty and integrity, care and diligence

Requirements

Education and experience

  • Relevant work experience as an Assistant Relationship Manager or 3 years experience as an ARM together with a job-related university degree
  • Successful completion of the internal ARM training program
  • Proven experience in serving banking clients with complex needs

Professional skills

  • Advanced knowledge of financial markets: structure, function and legal/regulatory environment
  • Sufficient affinity to the geographical market
  • Advanced understanding of relevant products and services for EAM customers
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office
  • Strong language skills in English (written and oral) and preferably in Business Mandarin

  • Positive "can-do" attitude and approach to challenges with an open mindset

Certifications

  • MAS Registered/Appointed Representative
  • CA(S) Papers 1 and 2
  • Preferably CMFAS modules 1B, 5, 6A, 6B certification
