Account Manager

The Account Manager supports the Assistant Relationship Manager in managing client accounts, coordinating client interactions and ensuring compliance requirements are met. The role also includes taking on administrative tasks and communicating with clients and internal teams.

Job description: Account Manager

Tasks

  • Client administration and management:
    • Professional implementation of operational account management
    • Supporting the Relationship Manager (RM) and the team in customer interaction
    • Independent and professional interaction with clients in all aspects of account management
    • Ensuring accurate and high-quality customer relationship documents
    • Active maintenance of customer master data
    • Creation and provision of customized information, reports and statistics for customers
    • Participation in customer meetings and leading parts of the meeting
    • Compilation of presentations and support with marketing activities
    • Promotion and service of dedicated intermediates channels
  • Business Management:
    • Organization and follow-up of customer meetings
    • Supporting the RM with investigations and troubleshooting
    • Management of internal projects that affect the account relationship of an RM
    • Creation of professional proposals for improvements
  • Other:
    • Full adherence to compliance, legal and internal guidelines
    • First line of risk deficiency by raising concerns and independent follow-up of issues
    • Demonstration of appropriate values and behavior

Requirements

Education and experience

  • Relevant work experience as an Assistant Relationship Manager or 3 years experience as an ARM together with a job-related university degree
  • Successful completion of the internal ARM training program
  • Proven experience in serving banking clients with complex needs

Professional skills

  • Advanced knowledge of financial markets
  • Solid affinity with the geographic market
  • Advanced understanding of relevant products and services
  • Very good MS Office skills
  • Strong fluency in English (written and spoken) and preferably in Business Mandarin

  • Taking on additional responsibilities on your own initiative

Additional requirements

  • CA(S) Papers 1 and 2
  • Preferably with CMFAS modules 1B, 5, 6A, IA certification
