Account Manager for Latin America (LATAM), Intermediaries, Geneva, Full-Time (f/m/d)

As an Account Manager for LATAM at Julius Baer in Geneva, you will be responsible for the day-to-day client support and administrative tasks for private clients in Latin America. You will assist the Relationship Managers with order processing, documentation, and process optimization, and must be fluent in Spanish, French, and English.

Job Description

  • The Account Manager for Intermediaries (AM) is responsible for account administration, documentation, and tasks related to day-to-day operations and projects that affect account administration.
  • Responsibilities include placing orders, handling client requests, executing trades, and managing private clients from around the world.
  • The AM manages day-to-day client account operations and interacts independently with both internal and external stakeholders, provides clients with relevant information, and supports the RM in developing customized solutions.
  • Furthermore, the AM serves as a role model by delivering the highest quality of service and acting as the Group Head (GH) in a prompt, professional, and friendly manner, thereby helping the team expand its current client base.
  • He or she forwards client feedback to the appropriate individuals and departments within the Bank to ensure continuous improvement and rapid adaptation of processes.
  • The AM demonstrates a professional commitment, ensuring excellent account management for both clients and the Bank, and is willing to go the extra mile.

Client Administration & Management

  • Supports the RMs and the team in all aspects of client interactions
  • Answers incoming calls and takes prompt action
  • Maintains and updates records of client instructions, details, and preferences
  • Creates system-based reports for the RMs
  • Provides clients with verbal and/or written information and data, without offering advice or expressing any value judgment
  • Handles and executes clients' requests by processing orders, trades, transactions, and payments (outside of e-channels)

Business Management

  • Manages internal matters that affect an RM's account administration, directly addressing administrative issues as they arise, and ensuring that all relevant systems are maintained and updated and that all necessary documentation is collected
  • Collects and shares relevant information, ideas, findings, and research with colleagues to improve processes and increase productivity and quality
  • Conducts reviews, plans ahead, and documents his or her work at all times
  • Provides professional suggestions for improvements based on experience, incident observations, and other insights

Requirements

  • Proven track record in serving banking clients with complex needs (onboarding new clients, maintaining and expanding existing relationships)
  • Build strong rapport with clients, account managers, and the business development team to foster growth along the way
  • Familiarity with operating systems is a plus
  • A strong affinity for Latin America and Switzerland, i.e., familiarity with the legal and regulatory environment as well as cultural awareness
  • Advanced knowledge of global financial markets and current industry trends
  • Native-level proficiency in Spanish, and fluency in French and English (spoken and written)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
