Private Banking Account Manager - JBFS Israel

The Private Banking Account Manager at Julius Baer in Tel Aviv is responsible for managing client accounts and supporting relationship managers to ensure excellent client service and administration. The position requires a combination of administrative skills, a client-focused approach, and risk management expertise.

Tasks

  • Ensures that accurate and high-quality client relationship documentation is prepared and maintained to a high standard at all times, including client identification documentation (CID), account opening forms, and other relevant legal forms
  • Actively ensures that operational account management is carried out professionally, with all tasks and system alerts resolved directly whenever possible, or through RA if investment-related advice is needed
  • Where appropriate, participate in client meetings and even in specific parts of the meeting (e.g., documentation procedures, compliance matters, or other client requests) if circumstances permit
  • Actively maintains client key data in liaison with the RM to ensure CRM and other data sets are correct for good maintenance of the relationship
  • Handle client matters in an independent and professional manner in all aspects of account management
  • Proactively takes the lead in supporting the RM/TH in managing client relationships and all related tasks (systems, applications, processes, documents, etc.) with high quality, precision, and timely responsiveness

Business Management

  • Manages the internal projects that affect an account manager’s client relationships, directly resolving administrative issues to ensure that all relevant systems are maintained and updated and that all necessary documentation is collected
  • Collects and shares relevant information, ideas, findings, and research with colleagues to improve processes and increase productivity and quality

Risk management & controls

  • Actively helps manage risk (by supporting the first line of defense), for example, in client documentation, by raising concerns, following up on issues independently, and escalating matters when in doubt
  • Ensures compliance with local regulations and adherence to internal policies and standards (e.g., opening new accounts, processing payment instructions, reviewing client phone calls, or approving matters within their area of responsibility) in collaboration with the respective relationship managers (RMs) and the Head of Department (TH)
  • Ensures that pending items are resolved in a timely, clear, and accurate manner and addresses any deficiencies
  • Ensures appropriate ethical and compliant behavior within his or her area of responsibility
  • Ensures that interactions with clients and client orders are documented accurately, clearly, and comprehensively in the relevant systems (e.g., CRM, DAS)
