Private Banking Account Manager, Middle East & Africa, Geneva, Full-Time (f/m/d)

Julius Baer is seeking a Private Banking Account Manager for the Middle East and Africa based in Geneva, who will focus on managing client relationships and supporting relationship managers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the market and relevant products and services, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.

Tasks

The responsibilities of the Private Banking Account Manager include:
  • Proactive support for relationship managers in customer relationship management and all related tasks
  • Attending client meetings and managing specific aspects of them (e.g., documentation requirements, compliance, and other inquiries)
  • Ensuring professional day-to-day account management, including all tasks and system alerts that can be handled directly by the relationship manager
  • Ensuring that accurate and high-quality customer relationship documentation procedures are followed and maintained to a high standard, including customer identification documentation (CID) and account opening forms
  • Processing of customer orders, such as payments, loans, and foreign exchange and securities transactions; opening and closing accounts; account maintenance (general bookkeeping); cash management; updating the customer database
  • Ensuring that customers’ KYC documentation (e.g., annual account reviews and new account openings) is updated in consultation with the relationship managers
  • Special attention to AML, monitoring, and regulatory notifications (consultation process, CRM alerts, etc.)
  • Independent and professional interaction with clients in all aspects of account management
  • Preparation of presentations, independent development of investment proposals, and support for marketing activities
  • Resolving administrative issues as they arise and ensuring that all relevant systems are maintained and updated and that all documentation is collected as required
  • Organization of business trips and client meetings
  • Covering for colleagues on the team and relationship managers during their absences

Requirements

The requirements for the Private Banking Account Manager include:
  • Successful completion of the internal AM PB training program
  • A strong understanding of the market, including familiarity with the legal and regulatory environment as well as cultural sensitivity
  • A deep understanding of the relevant products, services, and tools in private banking, as well as a solid knowledge of global financial markets and current industry trends
  • Excellent ability to adapt to different situations (able to work with RMAs and customers from diverse backgrounds)
  • Friendly, trustworthy and discreet personality with high risk awareness
  • A proactive and independent approach to work, as well as taking on additional responsibilities on one’s own initiative
  • Highly service-oriented and passionate about customer service, with exceptional communication skills; always friendly, knowledgeable, and professional in communication
  • High personal integrity and ethical conduct
