Account Manager Private Banking - NRI Switzerland
The position of Account Manager, Private Banking – NRI Switzerland at Julius Baer in Zurich involves managing client relationships, performing administrative tasks, and supporting relationship managers. The account manager works closely with clients and colleagues to ensure high-quality client service and promote the company’s success.
Tasks
- Ensures that accurate and high-quality client relationship documentation requirements are met and maintained to a high standard at all times, including client identification documentation (CID), client onboarding, and the client review process
- Ensures that operational account management is handled professionally, with all tasks and system alerts reviewed directly whenever possible or through the relationship manager if investment-related advice is needed
- Whenever appropriate, a client meeting and/or a specific part of the meeting (e.g., documentation formalities, compliance, other client requests) can be scheduled
- Actively maintains key data in coordination with the RM to ensure that CRM and other data sets are accurate, thereby supporting effective relationship management
- Interacts with clients in an independent and professional manner in all aspects of account management
- Proactively takes the lead in supporting the RM(s) in client relationship management and all related tasks (systems, applications, processes, documents, etc.), ensuring high quality, precision, and timely responsiveness
- Ensures that experimental work and client interaction (not advising) are covered within the team during absences
- Prepares presentations, independently drafts investment proposals, and assists with marketing
- Creates and provides clients with customized information, reports, statistics, etc.
- Manages the RM(s)' schedule, prepares for client meetings, organizes business trips, and follows up on client calls and meetings to ensure high-level client relationships and provide the best possible client experience
Business Management
- Manages the internal processes that affect a relationship manager's client relationships, directly handling the administrative tasks that ensure all relevant systems are maintained and updated and all necessary documentation is collected
- Collects and shares relevant information, ideas, findings, and research with colleagues to improve processes and increase productivity and quality
Risk management & controls
- Actively helps manage risk (first line of defense)—specifically, client documentation—by raising concerns, following up on issues independently, and escalating them when in doubt
- Ensures adherence to local regulations and compliance with internal policies and standards (e.g., opening new accounts, maintaining accounts, ensuring that client phone inquiries are fully addressed, etc.) in collaboration with the respective relationship manager(s) and Risk and Compliance (R&C)
- Ensures that potential issues and reported deficiencies are escalated in a timely manner
- Ensures appropriate ethical and compliant behavior in positions of greater responsibility
- Ensures that client interactions and client orders are documented correctly, meaningfully, and clearly in the appropriate tools (e.g., CRM, GDIS)
