Account Manager Private Banking - NRI Switzerland

The Private Banking Account Manager at Julius Baer in Zurich is responsible for managing client accounts and supporting relationship managers. The position requires an independent and proactive approach to work, excellent communication skills, and a strong awareness of risk.

Tasks

The responsibilities of the Private Banking Account Manager include:
  • Client Administration & Management: Ensuring that accurate, high-quality client relationship documentation is formalized and maintained to a high standard
  • Operational Account Management: Professional handling of all tasks and system alerts, as well as participation in client meetings and case assignments
  • Assisting the Relationship Manager (RM) with client relations and all related tasks
  • Interact with clients in a professional and independent manner in all aspects of account management

Business Management

The responsibilities in the area of business management include:
  • Management of internal processes related to the RM's account relationships
  • Collecting and sharing relevant information, ideas, insights, and research findings to improve processes and enhance productivity and quality

Risk management & controls

The responsibilities in the area of Risk Management & Controls include:
  • Support for risk management (first line of defense), e.g., by reviewing client documentation and reporting concerns
  • Ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal guidelines and standards
  • Timely resolution of outstanding issues and defects

Requirements

The requirements for the Private Banking Account Manager are:
  • Excellent ability to adapt to different situations and contexts
  • A friendly, flexible, and outgoing person with a strong awareness of risk

Professional requirements

The professional requirements are:
  • At least 5 years of experience as an ARM, or 3 years of experience as an ARM and a relevant advanced degree

  • A proven track record of success in acquiring banking clients with complex needs
  • Successful completion of the internal AM PB training program
