Junior Oracle & PostgreSQL Administrator

BCV is seeking a junior administrator for Oracle and PostgreSQL databases who will be responsible for the maintenance, optimization, and management of databases and who has experience in database management and administration. The ideal candidate has a college degree, up to 3 years of experience, and a good knowledge of SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.

Tasks

Perform corrective, preventive, and/or upgrade maintenance on Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
Contribute to the continuous integration process for our applications by automating and standardizing eligible database operations
Contribute to performance management and query optimization
Help draft and update technical documentation and operating procedures
Participate in on-call duty

Requirements

Advanced degree (master's degree or equivalent)
0 to 3 years of actual experience in database management
Proficiency in SQL and the fundamentals of Oracle and PostgreSQL
First hands-on experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL database administration
First hands-on experience in data flow monitoring and supervision
Full proficiency in French; English at a minimum B2 level
Analytical and synthesis skills, and a sense of responsibility
