AI Platform System Engineer

Your role

As an AI Platform System Engineer at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you will strengthen our platform team as a professional and experienced engineer, providing technical engineering and operational infrastructure services for enterprise infrastructure supporting AI initiatives in close collaboration with various stakeholders.

Your tasks

• Designing and further developing scalable AI infrastructure services optimized for GPU workloads
• Implementing and managing enterprise-wide AI platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift) for model inference
• Operation and maintenance of high-performance computing (HPC) systems, including bare-metal and virtual GPU servers
• Resolving and clearing up complex infrastructure incidents across hardware and software stacks
• Supporting data science teams with infrastructure deployment
• Performing critical infrastructure tasks and participating in on-call rotations

Your profile

• University degree (university or university of applied sciences) in computer science
• 5 years of experience in IT system administration, including 3+ years of specialization in Linux (RHEL preferred) and strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, and Ansible
• In-depth expertise in GPU topologies and architectures (NVLink, PCIe switching) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD) is required, as well as initial hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and DCGM Exporter
• Familiarity with ITIL methodologies, combined with a proactive, responsible work ethic, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective prioritization, and the ability to deliver results under pressure
• Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus
