AI Risk & Controls Lead

Tasks

• Lead and oversee corporate stakeholders and the Data and AI (Data&AI) business functions across the entire company.
• Ensure that all AI use cases are designed, implemented, and managed in accordance with regulatory, risk-based, and audit-related expectations to minimize the company’s compliance exposure.
• Leading and enforcing AI/ML governance standards that align with the company-wide risk profile.
• Design of a GLBA/Model Risk Framework for AI models (i.e., model—method—industry).
• Collaborate with data engineers and ML architects to integrate governance into MLOps platforms.
• Definition of AI/BI monitoring controls (shadowing, documentation, expiration date, review).
• Incorporating control requirements into the monitoring of model performance.
• Preparation of model documentation.
• Conducting risk and classification assessments (levels, thresholds, controls).
• Ensuring compliance with internal audits, regulatory reviews, and model validation.
• Maintenance of audit-ready evidence archives.
• Development of AI/ML risk control frameworks, usage guidelines, and compliance dashboards.
• Monitoring compliance with guidelines (i.e., the EU AI Act, industry-specific guidelines, and internal guidelines).
• Collaboration with the legal department, compliance, and third-party manufacturers to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Documentation of all AI systems—IRB (Internal Rules), under IRB (IRC), or AI (Audit Act).
• Support for company-wide risk and model risk inventories.
• Regularly preparing responses for internal and external auditors on behalf of regulatory agencies.
• Guidance on all dashboards, data sources, AI tool usage, etc., for compliance requirements.
• Ensuring that consistent dashboards are scalable within the context of risk controls.
• Proactive reporting to dashboards and proactive responses to risks.
