Overview of the Financial Institutions Group (FIG)
Alantra's FIG is the leading advisor worldwide to financial institutions and sponsors on various types of transactions:- M&A: Broad and comprehensive sector coverage with a proven track record of supporting banks, lending platforms, insurance companies, wealth and asset managers, service providers, fintech and all FIG-related businesses.
- Loan portfolio: Leading advisor on distressed and non-core asset transactions via whole loan or ABS (secured / unsecured NPL, RCBs)
- Secured Funding and Asset Backed Securities (SFABS): Experience across the full spectrum of credit assets, from distressed loans to high performing corporate receivables to real estate. Our approach is based on a deep understanding of the underlying assets to be securitized (or funded) and market-leading analytical capabilities as a leading credit portfolio advisor.
Job description
Based in Madrid, you will work in a highly entrepreneurial and inspiring environment and become an integral part of our FIG team.Tasks
The daily tasks include:- Support in the execution of active mandates: preparation of marketing materials, modeling and valuation analysis, data room management, etc.
- Marketing Initiatives: Market analysis of various industry verticals, preparation of market, strategic and industry peer analysis, screening of potential FIG targets / buyers, financial assessments, etc.
Requirements
- Strong academic background and results.
- At least 1 year of experience in a leading investment bank, boutique, leverage finance house or Big4 accounting firm preferred. Prior experience in FIG is highly valued but not mandatory.
- Excellent financial knowledge and understanding of financial reports.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to contribute own ideas and work autonomously.
- Familiarity with the use of Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a context of changing priorities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
- Attention to detail.
- Familiarity (both written and spoken) in English and Spanish is required.
