Alantra Iberia, Vice President of FIG M&A

The job posting is for a position as Vice President (VP) in the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) division at Alantra Iberia in Madrid, Spain. The VP will be part of the FIG team and will play a key role in executing and managing mandates, as well as in supporting clients and identifying new business opportunities.

Job Description

Based in Madrid, you will work in a highly entrepreneurial and inspiring environment and become an integral part of our FIG team, specifically in the M&A division. Your daily responsibilities will include:
  • A key role in executing and managing active accounts, from the initial pitch through to closing, with support from senior and junior team members, and in translating marketing ideas and strategies into presentations or other appropriate marketing materials.
  • Strong customer focus, with the customer's perspective at the heart of project management.
  • The ability to identify and anticipate customer needs, and to plan for oneself and the team.
  • Identifying and organizing junior staff to meet deadlines and achieve goals, with a focus on the highest priorities.
  • Serving as a role model for junior team members through ongoing coaching and training to challenge, develop, and empower them.
  • Demonstrating a commercial mindset and the ability to propose ideas to clients that could lead to potential future business for the company.

Requirements

  • Excellent financial knowledge (accounting and business valuation) and an understanding of financial reports.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to process large amounts of complex information.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to contribute your own ideas and work independently.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a context of shifting priorities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency (both written and spoken) in English and Spanish is a mandatory requirement.
  • A dedicated, rigorous, and detail-oriented approach combined with the ability to take initiative and make decisions.
  • The highest standards of personal conduct, professional performance, and business ethics.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
