Allocations, Reconciliations and Calculations Analyst

The Allocations, Reconciliations and Calculations Analyst (m/f/d) works in the Global Sales Operations team and supports the correct allocation of trades to counterparties as well as the calculation of commissions and fee payments. The employee reviews and analyzes trade data to ensure that it is processed correctly and in a timely manner.

Job Profile Summary

This position is a 6-month permanent contract.

The role

The role is part of the Allocations, Reconciliations and Calculations team within Global Sales Operations. The team is responsible for allocations and reconciliations of trades to ensure that trades are allocated to the correct counterparties and the calculation of refunds and service fee payments to these parties.

Responsibilities

  • Trade Reconciliations:
    • Checking trades and assigning them to the correct units
    • Defining and checking allocation rules in the system to avoid automatic allocation of trades
    • Communication with Client Relations teams to clarify unclear trades
  • Position reconciliations:
    • Check system postures against customer statements to ensure they match
    • Reconcile daily trading discrepancies and calculate accretions if necessary
    • Documentation of conclusions
  • Client Payments:
    • Checking system-generated payment calculations to ensure they are accurate
    • Perform manual calculations and queries if necessary
    • Reporting to parsers and support in resolving payment requests
  • System setups:
    • Review and understand system setups to ensure accurate products and rates are used
    • Communication with trading desks

Requirements

  • Fluency in English
  • Experience in asset management, hedge fund or similar field desirable
  • Excel, financial data and treasury systems
  • Good knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables
  • Convenient when working with numbers and large amounts of data
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Open and proactive attitude

Nice to have

  • Degree in finance or business administration
  • Experience in a middle or back office in financial services
  • Experience in investment operations and/or investment management
  • Knowledge of investment funds and related operational processes and industry participants
