Product Lead, Vice President, Alpha Complex Instruments

The Product Lead role is a critical leadership position within the State Street Alpha business unit, driving the strategy, development, and delivery of OTC derivatives and other complex financial instruments. This role ensures that products meet client needs, regulatory requirements, and State Street Alpha’s overarching vision to deliver integrated solutions from front to back.

Tasks

The tasks include:

• Strategic Leadership and Market Insights: Developing market intelligence, competitive analyses, and industry trend research specifically for OTC derivatives and complex instruments to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation
• Product Development and Delivery: Overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from concept development to delivery
• Customer Implementation and Standardization: Managing the product lifecycle for customer implementations to ensure seamless delivery and compliance with customer requirements
• Operations and Overhead: Driving initiatives to improve system resilience and operational efficiency within OTC derivatives and the control functions

Requirements

The following skills and experience are required:

• Extensive knowledge of OTC derivatives, structured products, and other complex financial instruments
• Proven experience in product management, including strategy development, product delivery, and customer implementation
• Strong understanding of end-to-end trade lifecycle management, financial system architecture, and operational excellence
• Expertise in global regulatory frameworks governing financial instruments, such as UMR, EMIR, and Dodd-Frank
• Knowledge of Agile methods and tools, with a proven track record in managing development cycles
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across various teams and with senior leadership
