Alternative Investment Advisor
As an Alternative Investment Advisor at HSBC in Geneva, you will support clients with alternative investments and work closely with internal teams to generate and implement investment ideas. Your tasks will include communicating with clients and internal stakeholders and presenting investment strategies.
Job description
As an Alternative Investment Advisor, you will be part of a team in the Private Banking division. Your task is to support clients in the implementation of alternative investment strategies.Tasks
- Manage process for the generation and implementation of investment ideas
- Regular meetings with the investment management and research teams to assess performance, strategy and risk management
- Lead efforts to integrate alternative investment themes and ideas into regular client meetings and presentations within the Private Bank in EMEA (excluding UK)
- Manage relationships with internal customers (WM, IC and RM) and external customers where appropriate
- Coordinate with Global Investment Strategy and MPS teams and asset class specialists to provide timely market commentary and ideas to generate alternative investment sales
- Participation and leadership of multifamily office/investment committees with clients
- Communicating AIG's views on strategy and management to clients and their relationship managers
- Presentation skills in large auditoriums (internal or external, mandatory)
Requirements
- High academic qualification
- Good knowledge of the financial markets and alternative investments such as hedge funds, private equity, real estate
- Experience and strong skills in selling alternative investments to internal and external clients
- Proactive, enthusiastic and independent personality
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and Bloomberg. Knowledge of A- Buying would be a plus.
- Fluent in English and French. Arabic would be an asset.
