The Credit, Discretionary, Middle Office Analyst is responsible for analyzing and managing bonds and credit derivatives within Man Group’s fixed-income business. The role involves monitoring prices, performing valuations, and collaborating with various internal teams to improve processes and prepare reports.
Job Summary
The Pricing and Credit Middle Office team is responsible for security price monitoring, MIF (Net Asset Valuation) calculations, fee modeling, and portfolio rebalancing across our feeder funds and multi-book structures, as well as for setting trading levels and fixing FX rates in connection with client capital flows via Mans Public Markets Fixed Income Credit Platform. The team develops tools and reporting solutions, works closely with our credit, rates, and investment teams, and provides analysis to other internal stakeholders. The analyst demonstrates technical expertise and the ability to contribute to process improvements and collaborate on broader projects.Specific tasks
The specific responsibilities include:- Review and analysis of fixed-income securities and derivatives (including credit default swaps, bonds, loans, and other fixed-income instruments), with a focus on their pricing and profit/loss calculations.
- Support for daily operational processes, including hedge fund valuations and fixed-income trade reconciliations.
- Conducting fixed-income-specific analyses, including yield curve analysis, duration calculations, and credit curve construction.
- Close collaboration with various internal teams and databases to provide fixed-income reporting and analytics.
- Contribution to process improvements and automation initiatives in the area of fixed-income fund administration.
Technical development
Technical development includes:- Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, controls, and workflows related to fixed-income fund administration.
- Learning and using programming tools to improve data extraction and reporting.

Requirements
The requirements include:- Previous experience in fixed-income fund accounting, fixed-income valuation, or fixed-income operations.
- Strong understanding of fixed-income instruments (including bonds, credit derivatives, and interest rate products).
- Experience with fixed-income valuation methods and pricing conventions.
- Strong analytical mind with the ability to solve complex problems.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong academic background in a quantitative and analytical field (mathematics, finance and accounting, physics, engineering, computer science, or a data-driven discipline)
