Analyst, Data & Distribution

Man Group is seeking a Data & Distribution Analyst for a 12-month permanent position to support the delivery of fund data to external and internal platforms and to assist in the preparation of transaction cost calculations and reports. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, experience working with numbers, and an interest in data and financial markets.

Job Summary

The Data & Distribution team supports the delivery of fund data (prices and static data) to external and internal data platforms and clients. The team is also responsible for producing UCTS (Uptick) KID/VDX, MiFID II & costs and fees, European investment tax reporting, advisor data feeds, and customized client reporting.

Responsibilities

- Support the production of transaction cost calculations and reporting that meet global regulatory requirements - Ensure the accuracy and completeness of MiFID II regulatory reporting requirements, including transaction costs and changes - Review and validate large data sets and samples, and provide support for exceptions related to cost and fee data - Implementing data changes and developing tools to support data management and ensure high data standards - Building strong working relationships with stakeholders involved in costs and fees as well as distribution activities across the company - Supporting project initiatives related to costs and fees (e.g., changing the TCA provider) - Supporting third-party providers to ensure efficient product data delivery - Planning data delivery projects within the Data & Distribution team (e.g., the consultant data management operating model) - Supporting other Data & Distribution activities, such as data automation and price feeds, cost analysis, and regulatory reporting

Key qualifications and experience

- Relevant college degree (or equivalent), with a strong academic background; No prior industry experience required - A numerical or analytical mindset, with confidence in working with numbers and an interest in data - Experience with financial markets and a desire to build comprehensive knowledge in investment management, funds, and related areas - A strong interest in learning about costs and fees, transaction cost analysis (TCA), and regulatory reporting - A flexible and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to build constructive working relationships across teams - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build constructive working relationships
