The Analyst, Investment Operations supports Man Group's investment activities across all business units and ensures that operations run smoothly. The focus is on continuous process improvement to increase operational efficiency and scalability.
Job description: Analyst, Investment Operations
Tasks
- Monitoring and clarification of all unconfirmed and missing trades
- Ensure that the custody and control processes for all trade allocations are managed and adhered to
- Evaluation, confirmation and processing of failures for all trades
- Manage confirmations and settlements; work closely with investment management teams to ensure accurate information
- Monitoring and presentation of key performance indicators for the company on a regular basis
- Collaborate with other operations teams to provide coverage/product knowledge
- Collaboration on the development and/or further development of processes in a controlled environment
- Ensure that you are fully embedded in a control infrastructure that mitigates operational risk and enables the business to operate in a controlled environment
- Function as a central point of contact for all listed futures guarantees
- Function as internal subject matter expert for all equities and bonds at Man Group
- Coordination within our Investment Operations function to ensure a smooth trade execution process
- Investigation and clarification of all Bartrades in connection with securities transactions
- Investigate and clarify settlements to improve the team's straight-through processing
- Improving STP rates with our custodians and prime brokers
- Communicate with global technology and operations counterparts on various strategic initiatives to ensure efficiencies for processes and/or automation in terms of technology refresh and strengthening existing systems and processes
- Establish compliance measures and regulatory data developments to ensure that impacts are appropriately managed
Requirements
- A degree at diploma level is expected, preferably
- 2-5 years experience in investment management, investment banking or securities; City experience
- Knowledge of investment operations systems (OMS, EMS), market data, regulatory reporting
- Understanding of equity and bond products
- Familiarity with front office systems; ideally experience with complex workflows
- Strong analytical skills to understand a wide range of products and complex end-to-end workflows
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Optimal technical and problem-solving skills
