Job Profile Summary

Conduct market research, assist in the analysis of new investments, and assist in the monitoring and day-to-day management of existing investments.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and analyzing research materials received on companies, industry sectors, and economic trends
• Gathering market information by speaking with and meeting brokers and company representatives, coordinating with other teams, and reviewing research to generate trading ideas for the asset managers
• Running models on the financial sector and providing recommendations to asset managers on which stocks they should invest in, both in the short and long term
• Backtesting trading strategies and preparing valuation models as requested
• Sending regular research updates to asset managers
• Receiving, reviewing, and cross-checking information from financial models and brokers
• Printing and preparing research materials for analysts, handling ad hoc requests regarding meeting notes, models, news reports, and the filing and retrieval of research materials
• Encourage the use of and monitor input from the chat system during team meetings
• Managing and overseeing print subscriptions to research publications and news sources, including the Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal, and evaluating and distributing reports as requested
• Circulating any current survey reports and other group reports and distributing them to the team
