Analyst – Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking in Athens, Greece.

Role

Alantra is seeking talented recent graduates to join its Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking team in Athens as analysts. Successful candidates will assist in the origination and execution of transactions involving debt, equity, and hybrid instruments, work closely with experienced bankers, and gain insight into high-profile international deals in the shipping and offshore sectors.

Tasks

- Contributing to the execution of capital-raising and advisory engagements in the shipping and offshore industries. - Developing and maintaining financial models to support valuation, structuring, and transaction analysis. - Assisting in the preparation of presentation books, presentations, investment memoranda, and other documents. - Performing portions of the due diligence review and coordinating with legal, technical, and commercial advisors.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, business administration, or a related field. - Previous experience in the investment banking, merchant banking, or investment management industry, ideally with experience in the shipping, oil and gas, or transportation sectors. - Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. - High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv) is a plus. - Excellent communication skills in English and Greek (native language). - Ability to work under pressure, with strong attention to detail and a collaborative attitude.
