Analyst - Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking

Role Overview

Alantra is seeking talented professionals at the analyst level to join its Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking team in Athens. Successful candidates will assist with the origination and execution of transactions involving debt, equity, and hybrid instruments, work closely with senior bankers, and gain exposure to high-profile international deals in the shipping and offshore sectors.

Focus of activities

Candidates will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Contribution to the Execution of Capital Raising and Advisory Engagements in the Shipping and Offshore Industries
• Support and maintenance of financial models to assist with valuation, structuring, and transaction analysis
• Assistance with preparing pitch books, presentations, investment memoranda, and other documents
• Conducting portions of the due diligence review and coordinating with legal, technical, and commercial advisors

Requirements

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, business administration, or a related field
• Previous experience in investment banking, merchant banking, or investment management, ideally with experience in the shipping, oil and gas, or transportation industries
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv) is a plus
• Excellent communication skills in English and Greek (native language)
• Ability to work under pressure, with a strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset
