Analyst - Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking

Role Overview

This role offers the opportunity to be part of a growing team at the forefront of cross-border maritime investment banking. Alantra is seeking talented professionals at the analyst level to join its Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking team in Athens. Successful candidates will support the origination and execution of transactions involving debt, equity, and hybrid instruments, work closely with senior bankers, and gain exposure to high-profile international deals in the shipping and offshore sectors.

Focus of activities

- Contributing to the execution of capital-raising and advisory engagements in the maritime and offshore industries. - Developing and maintaining financial models to support valuation, structuring, and transaction analysis. - Assisting in the preparation of pitch books, presentations, investment memoranda, and other materials. - Performing portions of the due diligence process and coordinating with legal, technical, and commercial advisors.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, business administration, or a related field. - Previous experience in investment banking, merchant banking, or investment management, ideally with experience in shipping, oil and gas, or transportation. - Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. - Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv) is a plus. - Excellent communication skills in English and Greek (native speaker). - Ability to work under pressure, with strong attention to detail and a collaborative attitude.
