Analyst - Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking

Role Overview

• Alantra is seeking to recruit talented professionals at the analyst level to join its Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking team in Athens.
• The successful candidates will support the origination and execution of transactions in the shipping and related industries, as well as gain exposure to high-profile international M&A, cross-border debt and equity, and hybrid solutions in support of the origination, structuring, and completion of international investment banking transactions.
• This role offers the opportunity to be part of a growing team at the forefront of cross-border capital markets and cross-border investment banking.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting due diligence on target companies and transactions (financial, legal, commercial).
• Assist with and monitor financial models to support valuations, structuring, and financial analysis.
• Assist with the preparation of pitch books, presentations, investment memorandums, and other materials.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
• Prior experience in investment banking, merchant banking, or investment management, ideally with experience in the shipping, oil and gas, or transportation industries.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Greek (native).
• Ability to work under pressure, with strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
