Analyst, Mid Office Accounting

The analyst in the Mid Office Accounting team at Man Group supports daily operational processes, including the valuation of financial products and derivatives, and contributes to the continuous improvement of systems and processes. The analyst works independently and as part of a team to develop technical and operational expertise and meet the requirements of clients and the company.

Job Summary

The Mid Office department is responsible for security price control, NAV calculations, fee modeling, and profitable pricing in Man Group's trading and investment activities. As an analyst, you will initially focus on performing key operational processes, thereby developing your technical and operational skills.

Tasks

The tasks include:
  • Review and analysis of financial products and derivatives, including their price and profit/loss calculations
  • Supporting daily operational processes, including hedge fund valuations and reconciliations
  • Working with various technology tools and databases to deliver accurate and timely analyses
  • Collaboration on process improvements and automation initiatives

Technical development

Technical development includes:
  • Collaborating on the continuous improvement of systems, controls, and workflows
  • Acquiring and improving programming skills to optimize financial processes and reporting

Stakeholder management

Stakeholder management includes:
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments on daily activities and long-term projects
  • Communicating results and recommendations clearly and concisely to various stakeholders

Professional development
