Analyst, Middle Office Accounting

Tasks

The Middle Office is responsible for security pricing checks, Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, fee modeling, and reconciling transactions across Man Group’s Private Markets business units as well as directly with investment managers for client capital flows. As an analyst, you will independently carry out key operational processes while further developing your technical and operational skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and analyzing financial products and derivatives, including their pricing and profit/loss calculations
• Support for daily operational processes, including trade lifecycle events and reconciliations
• Work with various internal tools and databases to produce reports and analyses
• Participation in process improvements and automation initiatives

Technical development

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of systems, controls, and workflows
• Stay up to date on changing regulations, tools, and market trends

Stakeholder engagement

• Collaborate with team members and other departments on daily activities and long-term projects
• Clearly communicating results and recommendations to various stakeholders

Professional development

• Use of training opportunities in technical and financial topics
• Participation in the ongoing development and maintenance of infrastructure
• Contributing ideas for process improvements and efficiency gains

Requirements

• Strong analytical mind with the ability to solve complex problems
• Close attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Good knowledge and understanding of the role and the component in processes
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to answer questions
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new concepts
• Strong systematic thinking (accounting, data analysis, or a related field; finance/accounting, physics, engineering, computer science, or any data- or finance-oriented discipline)
• Previous experience in the financial markets and a desire to build a career in the industry

• Professional Qualifications (Accounting Qualifications, CFA, or Degree)
