The Analyst in Middle Office Accounting supports the valuation and analysis of financial products and derivatives, the execution of daily operational processes and the development of tools and processes. The focus is on ensuring price and valuation controls and communicating results to internal and external stakeholders.
Job description: Analyst, Middle Office Accounting
Tasks
- Core Operations:
- Perform and analyze financial products and derivatives, including their pricing and profit-loss calculations
- Support daily operational processes including hedge fund valuations and reconciliations
- Work with various internal teams and databases to deliver reporting and analytics
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives
- Technical Development:
- Contribute to the team's continuous improvement of systems, controls and workflows
- Learn and utilize programming tools to enhance data processes and reporting
- Stakeholder engagement:
- Collaborate with team members and other departments both in daily activities and long-term projects
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to various stakeholders
- Professional Development:
- Take advantage of training opportunities in technical and financial topics
- Develop understanding of investment operations and market infrastructure
- Contribute to the team's process improvement and projects
- Engage in the team's knowledge sharing and best practices
Requirements
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to solve complex problems
- Ability to listen to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a global team
- Excellent communication skills and confidence to face questions
- Advanced ability to translate technical concepts into simple, concise quality
- Strong academic background in a quantitative and analytical field (Mathematics, Finance and Accounting, Physics, Engineering and Computer Science are good examples)
- Interest in financial markets and motivation to build a career in the industry

- Professional qualifications (ACA, accounting qualification) or studying towards
- Python programming (or similar languages), SQL, or other technical skills
- Familiarity with SQS/Bloomberg or other vendor control systems
