Analyst, Middle Office Accounting

The Middle Office Accounting Analyst at Man Group supports the team in monitoring security prices, NAV calculations, and profit/loss allocations. The role involves analyzing financial products and derivatives, supporting daily operational processes, and developing tools and reporting solutions.

Job Summary

The middle office department is responsible for security price controls, NAV (net asset valuation) calculations, fee modeling, and profit/loss allocation in Man Group's trading transactions. This portfolio includes tasks such as pricing and reconciling various asset classes in transactions and ensuring the efficient functioning of Man Group's investment risk systems. The analyst works independently and continues to develop their technical and operational skills to create tools and reporting solutions and collaborate with the trading, risk, and investment departments to deliver robust reports and analysis.

Specific tasks

- Review and analyze financial products and derivatives, including their pricing and profit/loss calculations - Support daily operational processes, including hedge fund valuations and reconciliations - Work with various technology tools and databases to deliver accurate and timely analyses - Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives

Technical development

- Contributing to the continuous improvement of systems, controls, and workflows - Learning and applying programming tools to improve financial processes and reporting

Stakeholder engagement

- Collaborating with team members and other departments in daily activities and long-term projects - Communicating results and recommendations clearly to various stakeholders

Professional development

Technical skills
