Analyst, Middle Office

The Middle Office Analyst will assist in the valuation of financial products and derivatives, the calculation of net asset valuations and the development of technical solutions. The position requires strong analytical skills, programming knowledge and good communication skills.

Job description: Analyst, Middle Office

Tasks

  • Review and analysis of financial products and derivatives, including their pricing and profit/loss calculations
  • Support daily operational processes, including hedge fund valuations and reconciliations
  • Work with various technology tools and databases to provide accurate reporting and analysis
  • Contribution to process improvements and automation initiatives

Technical development

  • Contribution to the continuous improvement of systems, controls and workflows
  • Learning and using programming tools to improve financial processes and reports

Stakeholder engagement

  • Collaboration with team members and other departments in daily activities and long-term projects
  • Clear communication of results and recommendations to various stakeholders

Professional development

  • Use of training opportunities in technical and financial topics
  • Developing an understanding of investment operations and market infrastructure
  • Contribution to ideas for process improvements and efficiency

Requirements

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and be part of a fast-paced team
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence to answer questions
  • Organizational ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Strong academic background in a quantitative and analytical field (mathematics, finance and accounting, physics, engineering, computer science or a related field)
