Analyst. Net Revenue

The Net Revenue Analyst at Man Group in London is responsible for monitoring and reporting on management fees, discounts, commissions, and other revenue items. The role also involves reconciling balance sheet items, analyzing revenue drivers, and supporting internal and external audits.

Purpose of the role

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the posting, verification, and reporting of the company’s management fees, discounts, commissions, and other revenue items. This role reports directly to the Manager of Revenue and works closely with them on a daily basis.

Specific responsibilities

- Invoice reconciliation and posting to the general ledger: sales items, discounts, and commissions are recorded accurately - Analysis and understanding of the factors driving changes in balances and monthly transactions - Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations as part of the month-end reporting process - Reconciliation, analysis, and investigation of variances to ensure the accuracy of daily/weekly/month-end recording of trading transactions from Dealing/Custody/Counterparties - Review, analysis, and authorization of payments to ensure accuracy and timeliness; Providing debtor correspondence as required - Complying with CASSO regulatory requirements - Communicating with hedge funds, investment managers, the custodian, and other internal/external stakeholders; Preparing fund reconciliations/instructions and ensuring that funding is available - Supporting IT and internal and external audits - Assisting with reporting on assets under management (AUM) and margin calculations

Technical skills

- At least 1 year of professional experience after graduation - A degree or professional certification (CIMA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred but not required - Experience working in a finance team, ideally in investment management or investment banking - A college degree, preferably in finance, accounting, mathematics, or a related field - In-depth to expert-level knowledge of:
  • Investment Data Management
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, SUMIFS, etc.)
