Analyst, Residential Debt

A Residential Debt Analyst (based in New York) will be responsible for the day-to-day management of residential real estate loans, construction loans, and credit facilities, working closely with the investment and asset management teams. The focus will be on monitoring day-to-day operations, credit analysis, and loss mitigation.

Overview

The Man Group is seeking an experienced analyst for its US Residential Debt Team in New York. The successful candidate will work closely with the asset management and investment teams on residential debt strategies.

Tasks

  • Monitoring of daily operations activities for residential mortgage loans, including construction disbursements and servicer onboarding
  • Management of credit facilities, including calculation of credit basis, fee deductions, financing applications, servicer reconciliations, and monitoring of financing agreements
  • Proactive identification and monitoring of performance metrics to identify and mitigate credit deterioration
  • Support with loss mitigation measures, including borrower outreach, structuring of foreclosure plans, documentation of foreclosures, and REO disposition, while managing workout schedules
  • Managing larger/more complex servicing performance issues and collaborating with investment professionals and internal teams
  • Coordination with multiple internal teams, including legal, finance, risk, operations, and technology

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in finance, real estate, economics, mathematics, physics, or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in previous residential mortgage lending (general residential), with a focus on asset management, credit administration, pricing/appraisal, credit analysis, or similar functions
  • 1+ years of experience with RTS, GCDS, credit management, or credit administration is a significant advantage.
  • Previous experience with warehouse credit and credit facility operations is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with real estate market valuation methods and investor exit strategies
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in Excel, PowerPoint, and data management tools
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Independent and unconventional in your approach to working on multiple projects
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Ability to work across multiple teams and functions in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Proactive and adaptable to a rapidly changing platform
  • Creative problem solver who is able to effectively summarize problems and communicate them to team members and management

  • Anticipated base salary range: $115,000 - $150,000 USD
