Analyst/Associate, Residential Debt
Man Group is seeking an Analyst or Associate to join its residential real estate debt team, where the candidate will play a key role in financial analysis, due diligence, and deal execution. The candidate should have experience in residential real estate lending, RTL, or structured finance, and possess strong analytical skills.
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced analyst or associate to join our residential real estate debt team. The team focuses on investing in commercial real estate debt opportunities through acquisitions, loan purchases, loan portfolios, and opportunistic financing. The candidate will play a key role in financial analysis, due diligence, and deal execution.Primary Functions & Responsibilities
* RTL Support: Assisting with residential transition loans (RTL), including detailed reviews of borrowers, property appraisals, budgets, and asset classes. * Financial Modeling: Creating and maintaining financial models, conducting collateral appraisals, cash flow analyses, scenario modeling, and return-on-investment analyses. * Sourcing & Origination: Assisting in maintaining and expanding relationships with RTL origination teams and their partners. * Loan Administration & Execution: Supporting due diligence work, including origination/valuation, collateral analysis, and coordination with third-party reports, legal counsel, asset managers, servicers, appraisers, and other service providers. * Market Research: Developing a deep understanding of the RTL market through research on residential origination teams and their performance landscape.Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree required. * 1–3 years of relevant experience in residential mortgage lending, RTL, origination/accumulation, structured finance, real estate debt, or asset-backed lending. * Strong experience supporting RTL is strongly preferred. * Familiarity with whole-loan trading or mortgage lending is a plus. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Proficiency in Python is a plus. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.We offer
