IT Trading Analyst/Developer (Financial Engineer) / IT Trading DevOps Specialist (Financial Engineer)
Banque Cantonale Vaudoise (BCV) is seeking an analyst-developer for its IT trading team who has experience in the financial industry and knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Python, and Java. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and security of applications in the field of financial trading.
Tasks
Your main responsibilities:- respond to requests from our clients (traders, back office, middle office, etc.)
- Manage the run by continuously ensuring that applications are operational and, if necessary, handle incidents
- Develop, integrate, and prepare the deployment of application components as part of the implementation of key trading floor projects
- Perform corrective, evolutionary, and preventive maintenance on the applications in this domain
- perform unit and integration tests
- draft technical specifications and estimate development requirements based on functional specifications and business needs
Requirements
Good knowledge of banking professions (GBIABLE)- Proficiency in scripting on Unix/Linux (csh, sh, etc.) and Windows (cmd and PowerShell)
- knowledge of software factories (CI/CD – Maven, GitLab, Jenkins, Sonar)
- Knowledge of C++, Python, Java, microservice architectures, and/or trading bots is a plus
- Knowledge of Forex trading and money markets is welcome
- Knowledge of the Kondor+ (Finastra) or Front Arena (FIS) applications is welcome
Your profile
- Basic education in IT, finance, or science (master’s degree or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of experience in a banking or insurance environment
- Experience in analyzing and writing technical specifications
- a strong interest in systems architecture and IT process automation
- desire to expand their skills and knowledge in a multi-technology application environment
- Ability and interest in developing expertise in areas related to a trading floor (front and/or back office for securities, derivatives, FX, and/or market risk)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, a solutions-oriented approach, a commitment to service, and a team-oriented mindset, while also being able to work independently
- Resident in Switzerland or intention to take up residence in Switzerland
- Fluent in French; English at the B1 level
