The Swiss National Bank is looking for a Market Analysis Analyst (80%-100%) for the Market Analysis organizational unit in the Money Market and Foreign Exchange Trading division in Zurich. The position involves analyzing financial markets, developing the basis for monetary policy decisions and designing analysis tools.

- Development of data-based decision-making principles for the implementation of monetary policy using modern empirical methods;
- Design and development of analysis tools and applications that support market observation;
- Preparation of contributions for the quarterly monetary policy assessment and reports for the attention of the bank management;
- Participation in the operational implementation of monetary policy on the markets.
Your knowledge and experience
- Master's or Ph.D. degree with a quantitative focus (economics, finance, data science, engineering);
- Great interest in the financial markets, the economy and monetary policy;
- Proven strength in data analysis, solid programming skills and a good understanding of modern empirical methods;
- Very good oral and written communication skills in German or French as well as in English;
- Place of residence in the vicinity of Zurich due to plannable evening rates.
