Application Engineer - Luxembourg

The Application Engineer at Julius Baer in Luxembourg is responsible for developing and implementing scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions and serves as a bridge between business and technology. Tasks

The responsibilities of the Application Engineer include:
  • Translation of business requirements into clear, testable system requirements and solution designs
  • Conducting end-to-end impact analyses across applications, integrations, and data flows
  • Ensuring alignment with the target architecture, security standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining requirements (epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria) and managing changes throughout the lifecycle

Requirements

The requirements for this position are:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in application engineering, solution engineering, or software delivery roles
  • Experience with Temenos T24, TripleA, or CRM systems in the banking or asset management industry is a plus
  • Extensive experience in system design, integration architecture, and data modeling
  • Knowledge of APIs, messaging/event-driven architectures, CI/CD, testing, and operational readiness
  • Ability to assess code quality in terms of maintainability, performance, and security
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between business and engineering
  • Experience in the financial services industry or in regulated environments is a plus
  • Fluent English
