Application Engineer - Luxembourg

Tasks

The Application Engineer works within a software development team to design and deliver scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions. Serving as a bridge between business and technology, this role ensures that applications are well-designed, production-ready, and compliant with architectural standards, non-functional requirements, and regulatory constraints. - Translating business requirements into clear, testable system requirements and solution designs. - Performing end-to-end impact analyses across applications, integrations, and data flows. - Ensuring alignment with the target architecture, security standards, and regulatory requirements. - Maintaining requirements (epics, features, stories, acceptance criteria) and managing changes throughout the lifecycle.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. - 8+ years of experience in application engineering, solution engineering, or software development. - Experience with T24, TripleA, or CRM systems in the banking or asset management industry is a plus. - Strong experience in system design, integration architecture, and data modeling. - Knowledge of APIs, messaging/event-driven architectures, CI/CD, testing, and operations. - Ability to assess code quality for maintainability, performance, and security. - Excellent communication skills to bridge business and engineering. - Experience in the financial services or regulated environment is a plus. - Fluent in English.
