Application Integration Engineer 100% (f/m/d)

Tasks

• Design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), including message routing, transformation (ESQL/XML/JSON), and orchestration of interactions.
• Installation, administration, and optimization of IBM MQ Queue Managers and the infrastructure across distributed systems, with a focus on reliability, consistency, and support for hub-and-spoke topologies and cluster architectures.
• Ensuring high availability, performance, and resilience of messaging systems through performance monitoring, capacity planning, failover configuration, and disaster recovery testing.
• Securing integrations via TLS/SSL, token and certificate management, channel authentication, and queue access controls in accordance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Implementation and management of IBM MQ Managed File Transfer (MFT) for accurate, secure, and auditable end-to-end encrypted file exchanges with internal systems and external partners.
• Conducting root-cause analyses, incident resolution, and performance tuning for production MQ and ACE systems. Participating in 24/7 on-call support and collaborating with cross-functional teams during change phases.
• Automation of routine operations (e.g., configuration, deployment, monitoring) using scripts and tools such as Ansible, Shell, Python, or Perl.
• Adherence to change, release, and configuration management processes; maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to audit readiness and risk compliance initiatives.
• Demonstrating appropriate ethical and compliant behavior within one’s area of responsibility by exemplifying relevant values and behaviors, including, but not limited to: honesty and integrity, diligence and conscientiousness, fair treatment (fair treatment of customers), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field; ongoing professional development in integration technologies.
• More than 4 years of experience administering enterprise-level IBM MQ infrastructure, including configuration, Queue Manager management, clustering, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization in accordance with IBM best practices.
• More than 2 years of experience in the design and implementation of integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) on Linux, including web service development, ESQL/XML/JSON transformation, and REST/SOAP web services.
• In-depth knowledge of IBM MQ MFT for secure, auditable file transfers and automated data exchanges across internal and external systems.
• Professional expertise in scripting (Shell, Python) and infrastructure automation using Ansible, Shell, and Perl.
• Strong knowledge of backup and recovery processes and 24/7 operational applications.
• Compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
• Willingness to participate in 24/7 rotating on-call support for global integration services.
• IBM MQ or IBM App Connect Enterprise certification is highly desirable.
