Application Operations Engineer (Full-Time) (f/m/d)

Tasks

• Effectively coordinate and communicate among incident managers, application service owners, third-level support, other IT teams, and business partners
• Assuming the role of local administrative manager
• Perform periodic on-call duty (weekly 24/7 rotation)
• Managing change requests and ensuring the proper execution of application-related processes
• Participation in periodic release activities, including weekend deployments
• Contribution to projects related to the operational aspects of existing or newly integrated applications
• Performing routine data cleansing and maintenance of systems
• Driving process optimization and automation of recurring tasks, including handover to L1 (Control Center)
• Maintain and update application operations documentation and knowledge base
• Providing support for batch job scheduling and monitoring (e.g., Automic AWA, Control-M, or similar tools)

Requirements

• Completed IT education (degree in computer science or equivalent IT-related certification)
• At least 2 years of professional experience in application support
• Strong Linux skills (shell scripting is an advantage)
• Solid understanding of Windows OS at the server level
• Familiarity with Java application servers, databases, and workload automation tools (AWA experience is a plus)
• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Experience with batch job support and scheduling tools (Automic AWA, Control-M, or similar)
• Ideally, experience in the banking or financial services industry with knowledge of financial products
• Proven ability to lead small teams or project management skills
