Application Operation Specialist 100% (f/m/d)
The Julius Baer Group is seeking an Application Operation Specialist to ensure the reliable operation of core banking systems through effective incident management and application support. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in application support, Linux skills, and a solid IT education.
Tasks
- Coordinate and communicate effectively between incident managers, application service owners, third-level support, other IT teams, and business partners.
- Take on periodic on-call duties (weekly 24/7 rotation)
- Manage change requests and ensure that application-related processes are executed correctly.
- Participate in periodic release activities, including weekend deployments
- Contribute to projects related to operational aspects of existing or newly integrated applications
- Perform regular data cleansing and system maintenance
- Drive process optimization and automation of recurring tasks, including handover to L1 (Control Center)
- Maintain and update application operations documentation and knowledge base
Requirements
- Completed IT education (degree in computer science or equivalent IT-related certification)
- At least 2 years of professional experience in application support
- Strong Linux skills (shell scripting is an advantage)
- Solid understanding of Windows OS at the server level
- Familiarity with Java application servers, databases, and workload automation tools (AWA experience is a plus)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Good written and spoken English skills
