Application Manager (Full-Time)

Tasks

• Address highly complex legacy defects that developers cannot analyze or resolve
• Communicate highly technical solutions to non-technical audiences
• Become an influencer and help improve the engineering practices of existing developers
• Earn the organization's trust by solving problems that others struggle with
• Development and delivery using Java, EJB, Spring Boot, MySQL, and IBM MQ
• Understand business and system requirements and translate them into technical solutions that are scalable, stable, and reliable for production
• Ensure compliance with banking standards (including code, security, and performance)
• This role provides access to several systems (e.g., PFM, CRM, Client Onboarding, KYC, AML, Name Check, Document, Capita, GSC, and the UETP Portal)

Requirements

Professional

• At least 5 years of experience in development using Core Java and Java EE
• At least 2 years of experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Be respected and admired by colleagues; not a multitasker, but capable of influencing and leading projects to achieve key milestones and overcome challenges
• Be able to translate functional requirements into efficient and effective technical solutions
• Preference for experience in the financial or banking sector

Technical

Requirement

• Core Java 8+, JUnit
• Strong background in computer science (algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design)
• TDD
• Java messaging concepts, SQS, JMS, MQ
• Regional databases
• Web Services: REST, SOAP
• Core Concepts of Spring
• Experience with SQL query optimization
• Familiarity with IntelliJ, Git, SonarQube/SonarLint

Desirable

• JBoss (or experience with other application servers)
• Spring Boot
• Knowledge of Java Server Faces, JPA, and EJB
• Ability to write and understand complex SQL queries
• React JS or Angular
