Application Manager (Full-Time)
We are looking for an experienced Java developer to serve as an Application Manager who can resolve complex issues in legacy systems and develop robust, scalable Java solutions. The position requires strong technical skills, communication skills, and experience with Agile methodologies and modern frameworks.
Tasks
This role is a hands-on technical position responsible for resolving highly complex legacy system issues and delivering robust, scalable Java-based solutions using modern frameworks and enterprise technologies.- Client and Stakeholder Management (Internal and External)
- Stakeholder Management – Close collaboration with finance, business change engineers, and project managers to drive and sustain IT delivery
- Requirements analysis, effort estimation, schedule planning, progress tracking
- Ensuring awareness and building support among key stakeholders and participants by establishing strong project teams and maintaining robust communication about the project's status throughout its entire lifecycle
- Technical and architectural design, adherence to architectural guidelines, and challenging the status quo
Requirements
- Addressing highly complex legacy issues that developers cannot analyze or resolve
- Communicating Highly Technical Issues to a Non-Technical Audience
- Influencing and improving the engineering practices of existing developers
- Ensuring that issues are escalated properly and transparently to facilitate their resolution
- Understanding and translating requirements (system requirements and non-functional requirements) into scalable, stable, and appropriate solutions
- Compliance with key standards (including code, security, and performance)
Technical requirements
Must-Haves:
- Core Java 8+ and Java
- Strong background in computer science (algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design)
- TDD: Ability to write acceptance tests
- Maven
- Basic Unix Shell Scripting Commands
- Java Messaging Concepts (JMS, MQ)
- Relational database concepts, SQL, joins, indexes, triggers, etc.
- Web Services (REST, SOAP)
- Service Level, SLA
- Spring Boot Concepts
- Experience with SQL, query optimization
Must-Haves:
- JBOSS (or another application server environment)
- Spring Boot
- Knowledge of Java Server Faces, JTA, and JLB
- Ability to write SQL queries involving complex transactions
- React JS or Angular
