Application Manager (Full-Time)
Julius Baer is seeking an Application Manager in Singapore with at least 10 years of experience in Core Java and J2EE, as well as expertise in Agile/Scrum. The role involves end-to-end management of the application landscape, ensuring availability, and leading development teams in compliance with bank-wide standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensuring the availability and maintainability of the application environment.
- Business development related to "End-to-End (E2E) Application Management"
- Handling applications with a strong focus on user experience
- Responsible for budget and roadmap governance related to applications within the scope
- Maintain and ensure compliance with bank-wide standards and policies, including application design and integration standards
- Provide business application management support, including but not limited to requirements and capability workshops, solution assessments, project management, and integration workshops
- Ensure a smooth transition of "time-critical deliverables" (e.g., for new financial products or features)
- Proactively engage with users, colleagues, and partners to ensure continuous improvement, effective risk management, and the resolution of identified issues
- Manage and support application teams, including software engineers and developers
Key Requirements
- At least 10 years of development experience in Core Java and J2EE
- At least 3 years of experience with the Scrum/Agile framework
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency and experience with the Scrum/Agile approach
Technical Must-Have
- Core Java and J2EE
- Broad, cross-domain system knowledge (organizations, taxes, investments, client registration management)
- Agile / Scrum with an Agile Mindset
- TDD, JUnit, and unit testing tools
- A broad overview of cloud computing environments
- Agile Methodology (Scrum, J2EE, Scrum, Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Apache Solr and Kibana
- Modern Programming Languages: Java, Kotlin
- Build tools such as Gradle
- Spring ecosystem: Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Integration
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of cloud and microservices architecture
- DevOps for an Agile Workflow
- SDR (Software Development Reference), including developer governance and release management
