Application Manager / IT Service Owner (Full-Time) (f/m/d)

The Julius Baer Group is seeking an Application Manager / IT Service Owner who will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing IT services and who has experience in IT service management, technology, and problem-solving. The successful candidate will lead the end-to-end operation of IT services and ensure that they comply with predefined service level agreements.

Tasks

The role of Application Manager / IT Service Owner involves overseeing the end-to-end operation of an IT service in accordance with predefined service level agreements. This includes:
  • Understanding and closely tracking all service dependencies, and proactive lifecycle management
  • Problem Management: Identifying and addressing the root causes of incidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future incidents
  • Continuous improvement: Monitoring and analyzing IT services, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders; provide regular updates, reports, and feedback on the IT service
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensuring that the IT service complies with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies
  • Test and Release Management, and Deployment of Fixes, Enhancements, and Upgrades

Requirements

The following requirements apply to this position:
  • IT Service Management: Understanding IT service management principles, processes, and best practices (e.g., ITIL)
  • Technical knowledge: Familiarity with IT systems, infrastructure, and applications, including hardware, software, and networks
  • Data analysis: Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to make decisions and optimize IT services
  • Problem-solving: Ability to solve complex technical problems
  • Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with stakeholders, including executives, technical teams, and customers
  • Stakeholder management: The ability to identify, analyze, and address stakeholder needs and expectations
  • Governance and Compliance: Knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies
  • At least 5 years of experience as an IT Service Owner/Application Manager
  • At least 5 years of IT experience, particularly with financial information systems such as Bloomberg, SEG/Reuters, and Marketmap
