Application Manager

Tasks

As an Application Manager, you are responsible for resolving complex legacy system issues and delivering robust, scalable Java-based solutions using modern frameworks and enterprise technologies. Your responsibilities include:

• Client and Stakeholder Management (Internal and External)
• Work with finance professionals, business change engineers, and project managers to steer and manage IT delivery
• Requirements analysis, effort estimation, planning, scheduling, progress management
• Ensuring the involvement and support of key stakeholders and participants by building strong project teams and maintaining robust communication about the project's status
• Overseeing and reviewing technical and architectural design, ensuring compliance with architectural guidelines, and challenging the status quo

Requirements

The following requirements apply to this position:

• At least 10 years of experience in development using Core Java and Java EE
• At least 3 years of experience in the financial sector
• At least 2 years of experience with TOD
• Highly organized and quality-oriented, with the ability to create and follow through on project plans to achieve key milestones and overcome challenges
• Ability to translate functional requirements into efficient and practical technical solutions

Technical requirements

The following technical skills are required:

• Core Java 8+ and .NET
• Strong knowledge of computer science (algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design)
• TOD, with the ability to write acceptance tests
• Maven
• Basic Linux Shell Scripting Commands
• Java Messaging Concepts (JMS, MQ)
• Relational database concepts, SQL, joins, indexes, triggers, etc.
• Well Services Rest, SOAP
• Core Concepts of Spring
• Experience with SQL query optimization
• Familiarity with IntelliJ, Git, SonarQube/Source.Lint

Preferred:

• Knowledge of JBOSS (or another application server)
• Spring Boot
• Knowledge of Java Server Faces, JPA, and EJB
• Ability to write and understand complex SQL queries
• React JS or Angular
